A unique blend of high adventure and average cars! Join our Blues Banger Rally in 2027 as we journey from England, down through some of Europe’s most stunning scenery, across The Black Forest of Germany, the Swiss Alps, finishing on romantic Lake Como!
All raising vital funds for the work Blues Foundation do, helping to support young people in Bedfordshire, whilst traveling across some of Europe’s amazing views in a bang average car, spread across four days.

The Route: Goldington Road to Lake Como!

The Journey:
From Goldington Road, the Blues Banger Rally 2027 is an unforgettable European adventure, taking teams from Bedford to the breathtaking shores of Lake Como on an epic journey through eight countries.
Along the way, you'll experience the vibrant cities of Belgium, the historic charm of Strasbourg and the spectacular landscapes of the Swiss Alps, with every stage offering incredible roads, unforgettable scenery and plenty of opportunities to create lasting memories.
The route builds towards one of the world's greatest driving experiences as you tackle the legendary Stelvio Pass, famous for its dramatic mountain scenery and iconic hairpin bends. From there, the road winds into northern Italy, where alpine peaks give way to picturesque lakeside villages and the stunning beauty of Lake Como.
The rally finishes in the beautiful town of Varenna, where lakeside celebrations, fantastic Italian food and spectacular views provide the perfect reward after an unforgettable journey across some of Europe's most scenic and exhilarating roads.
Your Car:
The fun starts with finding your rally car! Your car must not cost more than £1,500 and be road worthy. Any additional spend on your car is up to you post purchase. Each car is limited to four people per car.
Fundraising:
Whilst the Blues Banger Rally is set to be an amazing adventure, it is first and foremost about raising important funds for Blues Foundation. We kindly ask that each car commits to raising or donating a minimum of £9,000 per car - this will be your entry fee.
We would encourage all those interested in the rally to get in touch to discuss the many ways in which this total can be achieved. Through sponsorship, events or donations, there are a numbers of routes to achieve this target.
What’s included:
We will arrange all hotels, dinners and breakfasts along the challenge for up to four team members, as well as a limited amount of evening drinks. This includes twin rooms at each hotel, if you require your own room, there will be a small additional cost per room.
We will also arrange your Eurotunnel crossing and some prearranged lunch stops. You can sleep easy knowing a mechanical back-up service is also provided throughout the duration of the rally.
You will be responsible for all expenses related to your car, including insurance, tax and fuel.
Finishing in the heart of the Pyrenees, participants will need to arrange their own way home.

Rally Rules:
Documentation:
Your car must have a valid MOT certificate and be taxed for the duration of the event. All drivers must be covered by car insurance, including European cover. All drivers must have a valid driving license which covers them to drive in the countries shown on the route. All participants must have European travel insurance.
No Racing:
The Blues Banger Rally is not a race. All participants are advised to drive safely and to obey the regulations for the country you are in. The organisers take no responsibility for any accidents or damage caused by anyone taking part in the event.
Safety & Backup:
We take safety very seriously and therefore will have a continuous support vehicle, as well as mechanic back-up service that’ll follow the route.
You are also strongly advised to take out European breakdown cover for the event. This could be the quickest way of getting your vehicle repaired.
Entering:
We are anticipating this to a very popular event, therefore will be running this on a first come, first serve basis and will require a £2,000 deposit by closing date (this also counts towards your fundraising target).
