Looking to gain work experience in our sector? Develop our career and help us inspire futures through sport and community rugby.

What is work experience?

Work experience is available to anyone from the age of 16. It can take place at any point in the year and placements are usually for one week, however we may be able to arrange alternative working times to help support you if the team you work in can accommodate this.

what to expect:

A varied, hands-on placement where no two days are the same. During your time with us, you may:

  • Support the delivery of school and community sport sessions

  • Assist in planning and running charity events

  • Gain experience in marketing and social media

  • Learn about administration and programme coordination

  • Observe how a community sports charity operates

  • Work alongside experienced coaches and staff

You’ll be fully involved — not just observing, but contributing.

What to bring:

  • Comfortable sportswear and trainers

  • Weather-appropriate clothing (outdoor activities may apply)

  • Notebook and pen

  • Packed lunch and water bottle

  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn
