London Marathon Raises £10,000!
Five determined runners have been celebrated after raising more than £10,000 through their inspiring efforts at this year’s London Marathon.
Alastair Wilkinson, Anna Rennell, Andy Lane, Alan Torode and Michael Harris took on the iconic race, pushing themselves through both the physical and mental challenges of one of the world’s most renowned marathons.
This year’s event proved especially demanding, with unseasonably hot conditions adding an extra layer of difficulty for participants. Despite the heat, all five runners showed remarkable resilience and perseverance, crossing the finish line with incredible determination and spirit.
Their achievement is not only a testament to their individual dedication but also to the strength of their collective commitment to making a difference. Training for a marathon requires months of preparation, discipline and sacrifice, and their hard work was evident every step of the way on race day.
Beyond the personal accomplishment of completing 26.2 miles, the team’s fundraising success has made a meaningful impact. Surpassing the £10,000 mark is a fantastic milestone, reflecting the generous support they received and the powerful motivation behind their efforts.
Supporters, colleagues and friends have praised the group for their dedication, recognising both their athletic achievement and their contribution to an important cause. Each runner has demonstrated determination, courage and a willingness to go the extra mile, quite literally, for something bigger than themselves.
As celebrations continue, there is a strong sense of pride and gratitude for what they have accomplished. Their efforts have not only raised vital funds but have also inspired others to take on challenges of their own. With that spirit in mind, applications are now open for the 2027 London Marathon, offering a new opportunity for others to follow in their footsteps and take on the challenge.
Congratulations to Alastair, Anna, Andy, Alan and Michael on an outstanding achievement. Their success is truly something to be proud of, and their impact will be felt long after the finish line.
