Highly Successful Charity Race Night

Blues Foundation are extremely thankful to announce that close to £1,450 was raised at last week’s Charity Race Night at The Burrow at the Blues.

The first fundraising event of 2022, with many more in the pipeline for later in the year, more than 50 people packed out The Burrow for a high-octane evening featuring eight races and multiple entries into our specially designed ‘Winner’s Enclosure’ for the chance to win some of the grand prizes on the night.

The total raised far exceeded our expectations and we would like to thank every single person who attended for giving so generously to our charity and allowing Blues Foundation the opportunity to continue our flagship activation well into the future with some exciting plans in the pipeline.

WHAT THE PROCEEDS WILL SUPPORT:

Blues Foundation were extremely proud to launch some key flagship activation throughout 2021 including Tackle LIFE, ABILITY Blues and Blues INSPIRE projects. These will play a huge part of our output again in 2022 but needs funding support.

And there is so much more resource Blues Foundation want to tap into and utilise – and the proceeds from the Race Night will help go towards this, alongside some other fundraising opportunities that are yet to be announced.

Since the Race Night took place, our new flagship activation; Try to Change has already been announced with further details to follow in the coming week. It is hoped this will help form a wide scale approach to helping as many people in Bedfordshire as possible in 2022 and beyond.

Blues Foundation would like to say a special mention to MurraYoung and Bullerwell & Co for sponsoring the event and in particular to Andy & Julie Smart for their support on the night to ensure a seamless race meet took place.

Further thanks go to those who donated prizes for the evening; SHIFT Personal Training Club, La Piazza Café, Brewpoint, Willow Tree Gin and Bedford Blues RFC among others.
