Schools Night 2026 Lauched!
Bedford Blues Foundation is delighted to announce the return of our hugely popular Schools Night at Goldington Road on Friday 13th November 2026, as Bedford Blues take on Doncaster.
Schools Night is always a special occasion in the calendar, bringing together pupils, teachers and schools from across Bedfordshire for an unforgettable evening of live rugby and community spirit.
The event gives young people the opportunity to experience the excitement of a matchday at Goldington Road in a welcoming, safe and family-friendly environment, while celebrating the fantastic relationship between Bedford Blues Foundation and our local schools.
What’s involved?
There will be plenty for pupils to enjoy throughout the evening, with fun rugby-based activities and opportunities to meet Bedford Blues players before experiencing the excitement of the match.
One of the highlights of the evening will see pupils line the pitch as part of the Guard of Honour, welcoming Bedford Blues and Doncaster onto the field ahead of kick-off.
Schools Night is about much more than watching a game of rugby. It is an opportunity to introduce young people to the sport, encourage teamwork and confidence, and create memories with their classmates that will last long after the final whistle.
These activities were also central to the Foundation's 2025 Schools Night programme.
Who can come?
Schools Night 2026 is open to Key Stage 2 pupils from primary schools across Bedfordshire.
Each participating school is asked to bring two members of staff to accompany their group and help ensure pupils are supported throughout the evening.
The Bedford Blues Foundation works to inspire, engage and educate young people through sport, and Schools Night is a fantastic opportunity to bring that mission to life at the home of Bedford Blues.
By welcoming local schools through the gates of Goldington Road, we hope to introduce even more children to rugby, strengthen their connection with their local club and inspire the next generation of Bedford Blues players and supporters.
