Walking Rugby!
Our new walking rugby programme is a great way to start the New Year! Part of Bedford Borough Council’s Live Longer Better programme, Blues Foundation want you to come and get Walking Rugby a try!
Open to all abilities aged 50+, if you are looking to get your rugby fix, this could be for you. Non-contact, walking rugby.
Available sessions:
Where: Bedford International Athletic Stadium, Barkers Lane, Bedford, MK41 9SB
When: Every Friday, 10.30am - 11.30am
Cost: £4 per session, all abilities 50+, just turn up
The sessions will be both indoor or outdoor, depending on the weather and time of year. In the spring and summer we will look to be outside as much as possible. Please bring suitable clothing and footwear for walking activities.
Hear from one of our participants:
“… for me, that hour on a Friday is the only time in a week I talk to someone other than family and the occasional works video meeting. Until joining, I hadn't realised how much I was lacking in engagement with others. A massive tick for the mental wellbeing box).”

Could you host Walking Rugby?
Calling all Community Clubs local to Bedford! Could you host Walking Rugby?
We are looking to create a network of sessions, hosted and delivered by community clubs that culminate in periodic tournaments (friendly and inclusive) across each season. We will provide kit, training, marketing and support, all we need you to do is run the session at a time that suits your club.
If you would like to be involved, please contact us today.
